The intrinsic magnetic fields of exoplanets determine the structure of their atmospheres, and therefore the observational manifestations of transit absorptions. This work is devoted to the description of a new method for determining the presence of intrinsic magnetic fields of exoplanets. The method, based on the quantum effect of atomic alignment of the lowest energy level of absorption lines of multiplets, allows us to detect fields with an intensity of 10^-3 Gs and higher. To test this method, it is sufficient to have data on absorption in multiplet lines, including those that have already been obtained for some exoplanets. Thus, we already have the opportunity to estimate the magnetic fields of some exoplanets, which will be done in subsequent works.

报告人简介:

Marina Rumenskikh博士于2013–2019年在新西伯利亚国立大学学习,后在俄罗斯科学院西伯利亚分院激光物理研究所攻读并获得博士学位,现为该所研究员。她长期从事空间等离子体过程的实验建模与数值模拟,包括利用 KI-1 激光等离子体装置进行实验研究,以及基于 MHD 模型进行系外行星大气的模拟与分析。她的主要研究方向包括:热木星和热海王星大气的MHD数值建模;利用激光等离子体装置模拟宇宙等离子体过程;对恒星风与系外行星大气相互作用的理论研究;系外行星红外氦线(He I 10830)和Lyα吸收的光谱研究。Rumenskikh博士是Shaikhislamov教授团队中的优秀青年科学家,曾发表多篇论文于高水平期刊。
