报告摘要:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Long-period Radio Transients (LPTs) are a newly identified class of sources that emit sporadic radio pulses with periods exceeding one minute. At present, at least two types of progenitors have been proposed: white dwarf binaries and highly magnetized neutron stars.
However, the physical nature of a fraction of the LPT population remains under debate. In this talk, I will first introduce our studies of GPM 1839–10 using MeerKAT and FAST.
This source is an LPT with a period of about 21 minutes and has remained active for at least three decades. It exhibits complex pulse profiles and rich polarization behavior, including orthogonal polarization mode (OPM) switching, Faraday conversion, and cyclotron absorption.
I will then briefly report our progress on the MPIfR–MeerKAT Galactic Plane Survey (MMGPS) and the European “small-D, big-N” array project, ARGOS. Finally, I will outline my future research plans in China, which may involve the Jingdong 120-m Radio Telescope.
