报告摘要

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This talk will present a synthesis of recent studies on a class of pulsating, mass-accreting components within semi-detached systems such as Algols, commonly known as oEA stars. Using a selected system as an example, He will demonstrate that cyclic magnetic activity of the component filling the Roche lobe induces variations in the mass transfer rate, which in turn influences the pulsational properties of the accreting star. Furthermore, He will show some results from 3-D hydrodynamic simulations of mass transfer under varying transfer rates for several pulsating Algol systems. The results of high- and medium-resolution spectroscopic surveys aimed at detecting and characterizing high-degree non-radial pulsations (NRPs) in oEA stars will be shown.
报告人简介:
Prof. David Mkrtichian is a globally recognized authority expert in studying pulsating mass-accreting components in semi-detached eclipsing binary systems, particularly the oscillating Eclipsing Algol (oEA) stars - a class he originally discovered and classified. He has worked in several international astronomical organizations, including the National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand (NARIT), the Astrophysical Research Center for Structure and Evolution of Cosmos (Sejong University, South Korea), the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory (Ukraine), and the Astronomical Observatory of Odessa National University (Ukraine). He has led or organized numerous international research and projects, including photometric and spectroscopic observations of pulsating stars, asteroseismology, exoplanets, and more.
