研究员，博士生导师。于中国科学技术大学获得本科学位（物理系，1999年）、微电子学硕士学位（2002年）、天体物理博士学位（2005年）。2008年聘为中国科技大学天文系副教授，2010年4月至2011年12月在美国Carnegie天文台做访问学者，2013年聘为云南天文台研究员。研究兴趣为星系中的超大质量黑洞及其宇宙学演化的观测和理论研究。2015年以来，致力于超大质量黑洞的“种子黑洞”问题、暗物质问题，以及两问题的内在联系。
