LBTO, or the Large Binocular Telescope Observatory (大双筒望远镜) is a uniquedesign binocular telescope, located at the Mount Graham International Observatory, about 4 hours drive east from Tucson, Arizona, USA. Boasting twin state of the art 8.4m monolitical mirrors, active optics, state of the art adaptive optics (including laser system) and instruments, LBTO supports various science goals as well as serve as a platform for the development of the next generation big telescopes.In this talk, I will give an overview of the LBTO.
