摘要: Current sheets play a significant role in the solar atmosphere. They are formed in the course of the dynamical interaction of solar plasmas, e.g., at topological boundaries or in the trailing part of coronal mass ejections.
Current sheets are the sites where reconnection, a major mechanism of magnetic energy release in the solar atmosphere, takes place. Based on numerical simulation results, we discuss a few important examples of solar current sheets, their formation, location, turbulence and their role in the dynamical evolution of and explosions in the solar corona.
