摘要:　　　The advancements in submillimeter technology opened up new fronts in studying stars and molecular clouds, both Galactic and in distant galaxies, providing new probes to the physical as well as chemical environments of these objects. I will present in this talk methods and approaches in submillimeter astronomy in application to the studies of star formation. I will also show some of the recent results in this regard at the CSO.
